MERONA "She-wolf, three years, very pretty. She's mute though. Who wants a sklavin that can't ever complain about some hard labor?"
Across the crowd, a few dominors laughed along with the guard who spoke her selling information. Inside, Merona recoiled and lifted her lips in dismissal and anger. With Vernado, she'd been free; freer than she ever had been in her adult life. She'd been allowed to make her own choices, allowed to wander, allowed to come and go as she pleased; it was almost too much for the she-wolf, this difference in ranks. It was like night and day to her, with how affairs were carried out and courtesies were given. What a strange world she lived in.
"Hurry up, little miss. I wanna see you work for the buyers."
With a wink that was anything but innocent, Merona bared her teeth into a silent snarl before trotting large circles on the rock's surface. She was held above the rest of the ground, paraded around like this--and for what? What flaws were they looking for? Conformation, some apparent beauty? Or was it deeper than that? Were they looking for how obediently she followed instructions? Merona's stomach sickened at the thought of her being sold, yet again, in this manner. For a brief second the tan she-wolf thought about stopping and refusing to play their game, but all too soon she realized how helpless the situation was. All she needed to do was look into the crowd and she would see the mass of dominor faces and desires to break her. She was, in every essence, trapped.
"Let's see how well she cooperates for males, if you know what I mean."
With her fur standing uncomfortably on the back of her neck, Merona slowed to a stop. She didn't understand the complete idea behind what the male had said, but his tone had been enough to convey the lust that was obviously overtaking him. And then, faster than she could have realized, Merona's paws were knocked out from under her, and a male was roughly trying to make his way. Merona bared her teeth in a snarl, crying out invisibly as he forced himself upon her in front of the crowd. The only indication that he wasn't inside of her was the lack of pain and the ever so faint hint of control as his hips rolled over her own.
Merona, falling into a state of horror over the situation, clamped her eyes shut as the dominors below her jeered loudly. She felt utterly disgusted with out this had turned out and suddenly wondered what Vernado would have done, had he been there. He'd have saved me. He would have saved me from this. Thinking the words over and over, Merona waited blindly for someone to claim her.

SINEAD
i'm trying to walk these bridges burning beneath my f e e t This place certainly is full today.Sinead had taken care to clean herself thoroughly before she had ventured to the rock, and a good thing she had. Everywhere she looked, her sea colored eyes encountered Dominor and sklavin alike, some jeering, others cowering. Small puffs of dust lifted into the air with each step she took, remind the alphess of Einheit. Ringing laughter burst around her as she went, and several times she caught nasty comments directed at one sklavin or another. On the rock, more sklavins were being paraded before the large crowd. Most of them were snapped up in a heartbeat. She had chosen the right day to visit. It was past time that a sklavin was introduced into Einheit, so that morning, Sinead had set off on the short trek to the rock. The whole while her thoughts had revolved around the large brute she had found sprawled in the dirt just the morning before, but those were thoughts for another time. Today was about expanding; finally, she would make Einheit thrive. In time, she intended on the pack to be the largest, most closely knit one in Ravensbruck. Which was easier said than done by all means. Over her shoulder, Sinead heard the announcer introduce another slave, this one apparently mute. An appreciative ripple of noise rolled through the crowd gathered, causing Sinead’s curiosity to shimmer. She had barely began to push her way through the stubbornly unmoving crowd of dominors when suddenly a wave of roaring laughter rippled through them, followed by an overwhelming amount of bawdy remarks. Bristling angrily at the brutes who stood in her way, Sinead shoved forwards, only to be presented with a sight that explained the lustful expressions on the dominors faces. Above the crowd, a lean tan and white sklavin was silently enduring the obviously unwanted advances of the announcer. Briefly Sinead’s mind whispered mute, and the realization – along with the hungry looks on several of the dominors faces – drove Sinead forward. With a thunderous snarl, she vaulted onto the rock, fur bristling in her attempt to command the announcer’s attention. Slowly her lips unfurled to cover her teeth, hiding her snarl, but her eyes still flashed with disdain and open challenge as she strutted towards the two. With a rough shove aimed at the announcer’s flank in an attempt to shove him away from the sklavin, Sinead spat out a claim. ”I’ll take her,” she growled, her high voice clear and firm. Without so much as a second glance at the disgusting brute, she turned towards her new sklavin, raking her eyes over her frame. Not bad. I certainly could have done worse. Now was the matter of communication, however. Sinead did not particularly want to call the she-wolf girl, after all. If she had been mute for some time, maybe she had mastered a way of communication… ”Can you tell me your name?” She tried, hoping for the best. Otherwise she would have to figure out her own way to get answers out of her new addition. Somehow. [/blockquote]

MERONA From somewhere, an explosive snarl sounded and the snickering of the crowd died in response. The weight of the male lifted and a pregnant silence lapsed over the group. What would this bring her? Merona cowered at the thought of a wolf who would dare to interrupt the dominor's chance of "fun", and she opened one eye slowly as the wolf spoke.
”I’ll take her,”
As soon as she realized her new master was a female, something like a bird fluttered hopefully in Merona's chest. There would be no torture like there had been before--although that was not to say there would be none. But at least it wouldn't be that same suffocating, struggling, force that she dreaded so much. Merona's blue eyes flickered back and forth as she watched the female dominor and the guard, taking in the body language of both and hesitantly pausing in question before gaining her feet.
”Can you tell me your name?”
With a significantly less intimidating voice than before, the female questioned her before the crowd. Merona furrowed her brow in response before nodding her head to indicate that she could, in fact, make her name known. It certainly wouldn't be easy, but over the time of her life she'd certainly figured out how to make herself understood. Taking a rough, shaky breath, Merona began.
She first shaped her lips in the sound the beginning of her name would make. It would have created a soft 'mur' sound, and once she'd repeated the first part a few times, she added the second part of her name. 'Roe'. Repeat a few times, add the last syllable. 'Na'. Repeat and pause. Then, all at once, Merona added the syllables together slowly. It was like a breaking dam as she tried to get her new master to read her lips; slowly, ever so slowly, and then all together, in a rush.
Blinking as if to ask her captor if she understood, the tan colored she-wolf made sure to keep her body language clean and respectful. She wasn't in Regnen anymore. Any hint of disobedience might be a possibility for a revoke of master, and Merona wanted so desperately to leave with this wolf. She seemed fair--maybe not one to give her free reign as Vernado had, but true to herself. Only time would tell.
Waiting a response or dictation of some sort, Merona lowered her head as a sklavin.

SINEAD
Her intention entirely focused on her new slave, Sinead ignored the sounds of jeering dominors as she stared pointedly at the sklavin's mouth. Over and over the mute she-wolf formed the same syllables, patiently as if she was accustomed to doing so. Mur. That part she got. The roe was more difficult, but finally, Sinead nodded to show she understand. The na was the easiest. Then, suddenly, the sklavin threw all the syllables together and like a puzzle piece, it clicked firmly in Sinead's mind. "Merona." She said, giving sound to the shapes. Secretly proud of herself for grasping the name, she nodded, glancing back towards the guards which were impatiently scowling in her direction. "Come this way, before one of these pigs decides to try something again. I'm not quite in the mood for ripping apart any egos today. Although, it is a bit comical to see how wounded they get when a she-wolf tears them apart."Smiling almost deviously, Sinead turned and trotted confidently away from the rock, confidence evident in the swing of her hips. Eat your hearts out, she thought, casting a haughty glance at the simmering group of dominors that watched with glittering eyes. She knew any one of them would have loved to see her stumble or falter, and because of that, she never did. Something about a cocky she-wolf seemed to set a brute's fur on end. Stopping a good distance away from the bustle and noise, Sinead turned her sea-green eyes on Merona, taking a deep breath before beginning. "I'm Sinead, Alpha of Einheit, which is admittedly a bit empty as of right now. I'm working on that. You'll find that I'm not your worst enemy or a devil, if you give me no reason to be. A little respect and loyalty goes a long way with me. Einheit, however, is a bit more cruel. I won't beat around the bush; it's hot and dry, and empty. Prey is scrawny at best and we have just one stream. You'll learn to live off of fish and hares, no matter how pathetic they may be. Or whatever else you run into. It's unforgiving, and because of that, you'll have to be as well."She stopped, tilting her head and giving Merona another good once over now that they were away from prying eyes. Her posture was respectful, which satisfied Sinead. "You seem to know what you're doing. I'm glad you're not one of those stubborn rebellious types. Are you ready to get a glimpse of your new home?"[/blockquote]
